This Third Degree Pendant is handmade in sterling silver and is a true rendering of the Wicca symbol of progress: A triangle (which usually denotes the fire element) over the pentagram's topmost point (which signifies 'spirit').

This pendant has a thick, chunky look, with the triangle on top becoming the bail for the necklace.

As one advances through the world of Wicca, from darkness or unknowing to spiritual light, progress is marked by general 'degrees'. There are a total of four degrees, so the 'Third Degree' refers to a more advanced stage of Wicca, achieved only after years of conscientious study and practice.

Wiccans who have achieved the Third Degree are adequately knowledgeable and experienced to become leaders, capable of standing in for their high priestess when necessary, and can answer the questions of novices, lead classes without supervision, and possibly even form their own coven.
