This handsome round pendant is a tribute to Queen Nefertiti who with her husband ruled during the 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, about the 1300s BC.
Like much Egyptian art of the time, she is shown in profile. Depicted wearing the distinctively tapered headdress she is often associated with, her image is done in subtle relief, raised slightly above a background that is filled with hieroglyphs.
